This Editorial Policy sets out the standards PharmaAdda (“we”, “us”, “the Platform”) applies to all content it publishes or hosts — including blog articles, guides, industry news, company/product listing descriptions, and buyer-facing educational content — to ensure accuracy, transparency, and regulatory responsibility in the pharmaceutical, ayurvedic, nutraceutical, and allied trade space.

1. Scope

This policy applies to two categories of content on the Platform:

  • Editorial content: blog posts, industry guides, market insights, regulatory explainers, and news authored or curated by the PharmaAdda team.
  • Listing content: company profiles, product descriptions, brand names, and franchise offers submitted by Manufacturers/Sellers. This is third-party content and is reviewed under the moderation standards in Clause 6, not authored by PharmaAdda.

2. Editorial Independence & Conflict of Interest

Editorial content is produced independent of any paid listing, subscription, or advertising relationship. A Manufacturer/Seller’s paid status on the Platform does not influence whether it is featured, mentioned, or reviewed favorably in editorial articles. Any sponsored or paid promotional content is clearly labelled “Sponsored” or “Promoted” and is never presented as independent editorial opinion.

3. Sourcing & Accuracy Standards

  • Regulatory, statutory, or compliance claims (e.g., references to the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, CDSCO guidelines, GST provisions, or licensing requirements) are sourced from official government publications, gazette notifications, or primary regulatory websites.
  • Market data, pricing trends, and industry statistics are attributed to their original source with a publication date.
  • We do not publish unverified health claims, cure-all statements, or content that violates the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954.
  • Content is written for a trade/business audience (manufacturers, distributors, franchise buyers) and is not intended as consumer medical advice.

4. Author & Review Standards

Editorial content on PharmaAdda is authored and/or reviewed by individuals with relevant subject-matter background in pharmaceutical sciences, trade research, or regulatory content. Each published article carries a visible author byline linking to the author’s profile, listing their qualifications and relevant experience, so readers and search engines can assess the source of the content.

Current Editor: Aditi Mahajan holds an M.Sc. in Biotechnology and has over 9 years of experience writing content for the pharmaceutical industry, including 3+ years as a research scientist producing research content on Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines. Her author profile and full body of published work are listed at pharmaadda.in/author/aditi.

Where an article touches on regulatory or legal interpretation, it is cross-checked against the primary source (Act/Rule/Notification) before publishing, and reviewed by a second team member before going live. As the Platform adds contributors, each new author’s bio and credentials will be published on their author page in line with this standard.

5. Corrections & Updates

We correct factual errors promptly on discovery. Substantive corrections (regulatory facts, statistics, license/process requirements) are updated in the article with a visible “Last Updated” date. Minor edits (grammar, formatting) may be made without notation. Readers can report a suspected error using the contact details in Clause 8.

6. Listing Content Moderation

Company and product listings submitted by Manufacturers/Sellers are subject to the following review standards before or shortly after publication:

  • Basic completeness check (business name, category, contact details).
  • Screening for prohibited claims (miracle cure, 100% safe, banned-substance references) as outlined in the Terms & Conditions.
  • Removal or suspension of listings found to misrepresent license status, or flagged via a valid regulatory/legal complaint.

PharmaAdda does not independently verify every factual claim within a Listing (e.g., composition, MOQ, pricing) at the frequency of editorial content, and Users should refer to the Disclaimer for the allocation of responsibility for Listing accuracy.

7. Advertising & Sponsored Content Disclosure

Any banner ad, featured placement, sponsored article, or paid partnership is clearly marked as such. PharmaAdda does not accept payment in exchange for undisclosed favorable editorial coverage, and advertising relationships do not extend to editing or approving independent articles.

8. Feedback & Corrections Contact

To report an inaccuracy, request a correction, or raise an editorial concern, contact us at [support/legal email]. We aim to acknowledge editorial complaints within 2 business days.

9. Policy Review

This Editorial Policy is reviewed periodically to reflect changes in applicable law (including the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, Drugs and Magic Remedies Act, and IT Rules) and Platform practice. The most current version is always available on this page.
